BJP ruled states not interested in price control scheme & NDA continues to blame Nitish

At the peak of Bihar elections, the blame game is in full swing. Both the alliances are slapping charges at each other. Recently in Patna, Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh and Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supply Minister Ram Vilas Paswan alleged that Nitish Kumar Government is not taking any interest in Price Stabilisation Fund (PSF) Scheme. According to them, an intervention in the market could be made to control the prices of Pulses. PSF was launched by the Central Government in the month of April this year.

However, in New Delhi, sources in the Agriculture Ministry did not agree with the charges levelled against Bihar Government. “It is not only Bihar which did not come forward with its proposal for market intervention to control the prices of Pulses. Even BJP ruled states have not shown any interest in PSF scheme launched by Central Government to control rising prices of pulses, onion and potato” said a source.
